Words that talk to you

How often do we tell it like we really mean it? Or feel it!
The most common and often used example is the word ‘Fine.’

Words have the power to make us feel emotions; positive or negative. How does the word ‘fine’ make you feel?  I’m guessing just about ok…acceptable, satisfactory…or ‘fine’! Now try, ‘Fabulous’ or ‘Wonderful’ and how about ‘Simply awesome’. Most likely these words make you feel differently.
Such reframing not only leaves you feeling more energized, empowered and confident; it creates a ‘fabulously wonderful simply awesome’ ripple effect on all around you and helps your listener carry a more positive impression of you.

So, how are you today?

  1. The unreal is more powerful than the real. Because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. Because it’s only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. Stone crumbles. Wood rots. People, well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on. If you can change the way people think, the way they see themselves, the way they see the world — you can change the way people live their lives. That’s the only lasting thing you can create. -

  2. Isaac Asimov said many many years ago that "the saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom" - I am so glad that you share your wisdom with so many via your beautiful blog.
